Recently I have been getting health and wellness questions from readers. I am honored to be able to answer these questions. every week I will write about a question from a reader along with my answer. below is the first question.

“What is the best work out for someone who needs to loose baby weight? What type of diet ought to a person that wants to loose baby weight be on? Does drinking a lot of water help to loose weight?”

New mothers ought to make sure they are eating right. If you are breastfeeding this will help you to lose your baby weight a lot faster. I encourage you to nurse your baby until he is at least one year old.

You ought to eat a diet that is high in protein, fiber and low in saturated fat. only eat red meats once a week or less. great proteins for new mothers are tuna, wild salmon, turkey, and soy.

Instead of having a doughnut or sugary cereal for breakfast have some yogurt with fresh or frozen fruit. Smoothies are also an outstanding breakfast item.

Drinking plenty of water does help with weight loss. avoid soda and any beverage with high fructose corn syrup. Don’t drink your calories up. stick with zero calorie beverages. Water is best.

You ought to spend at least 1/2 an hour a day doing some sort of aerobic exercise. This could be working out on the treadmill at the gym, working out to a fitness DVD, using the Wii Fit, or a brisk walk or run.

Building muscle is also important. This will lower your risk of getting osteoporosis and tone your body more.
